Ned has also directed* over 40 productions, including: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Major Barbara, Home & Beauty, (Ashcroft Theatre); Hard Times, Vita & Virginia and Oleanna (Bromley Little Theatre); Guys & Dolls (Shaw Theatre); South Pacific (Lewisham Theatre); and Bitter Sweet (Rose Bruford College Theatre).

As an actor, Ned's work* includes principal roles in many plays including: I Take Your Hand in Mine (as Chekov), Under Milk Wood, A Doll's House, The Dining Room, The Constant Wife, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Trelawny, Half a Sixpence, Hello Dolly! and Cowardy Custard.

Ned also regularly contributes* to Sardines magazine where he has interviewed many stage personalities including: Sir Ian McKellen, Ray Cooney, Nigel Harman, Bonnie Langford and Stuart Brayson among others.
